About EO Savvy and Me

THANK YOU for visiting EoSavvy.com.

I sincerely hope that this website has been able to provide you with valuable information on benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy and how to use essential oils safely and effectively.

Hazel Ketko

If you are wondering who created EO Savvy and wrote all the pages on this site, well, here I am! My name is Hazel Ketko, and I started this site in January 2017.

My "aromatic journal" started over 10 years ago when I got interested in using natural herbs and essential oils to enhance the health of my family (which consists of my husband, my dog Hana, and I). We all have beome healthier since and I wanted to know more about why and how essential oils work. I started taking courses and I am now a certified aromatherapist at clinical level.

I started this site because I have found a lot of misleading and sometimes downright dangerous information on the Internet about essential oil use - some people seem to think that since EOs are natural, they are safe and can be used in whichever way they find convenient or think appropriate. That, of course, is not true. EOs are potent and powerful - they are gifts to us from Mother Nature, and we should use them with respect and care. I hope the information and message in my site can help you understand how to use EOs safely and effectively.

Also, some people tend to think (and promote) that there is an essential oil for every ailment. That is, of course, not true either.

EOs are great complementary home remedies to support health and promote mental wellbeing. However, please remember that they cannot replace medical treatment and we should not "practice medicine" ourselves.

The bottom line is, use essential oils with care and, when in doubt, ask a qualified aromatherapist to assist you.

If you find this site useful, please tell your friends about it. If you have any suggestions and comments about this site, please feel free to contact me.

You are also warmly invited to share your experience and be part of our "EO Savvy" community. Share your favorite oils and oil blends, or how you use essential oils to enhance your health on our Facebook page.

To Your Healthy and Happiness, Aromatically!
